Corona Lockdown ‘Advanced Level 3’ regulation devastating, alcohol not being allowed to be consumed in Restaurants, Bars, Shebeens, and Taverns when they are allowed to reopen!

While President Ramaphosa spoke to the nation on Wednesday evening, announcing the long-awaited news that restaurants are to reopen for Sit-Down Service on an as yet unnamed date, a Tweet was sent out by the Government information service, announcing that the following is prohibited:  ‘Consumption of Alcohol in restaurants, bars, shebeens, and taverns’ . This has caused a shitstorm in the restaurant industry, already struggling to make ends meet via Restaurant Food and Alcohol Delivery and Collection. Corona Lockdown Level 3 regulations presented by Government, without any surprises, aimed to ‘secure the future of this beautiful country’!

 

In a reasonably efficiently presented speech to the nation, listeners and viewers addressed as ‘Compatriots’, Minister of Co-operative  Governance Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma presented a short half an hour summary of the Level 3 regulations, not surprising the nation with any changes to the broad Level 3 outline presented by President Ramaphosa on Sunday evening. The Minister concluded her speech by saying: ‘We must endure today to secure the future of this beautiful country’.

Corona Virus Lockdown Level 4: New Government-allowed businesses to reopen, with some ridiculous regulations!

 

The Government is easing the restrictions of the economy, slowly but surely, and gazetted the opening up of three further industries two days ago, with immediate effect: Car sales, Winter clothing, and small businesses. Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful 26 C day, without a breath of wind; for receiving greater clarity about which businesses are allowed to operate, and which new restrictions lie ahead for us from 1 May; that outside exercise is allowed from next Friday; that I could do a shopping trip by car, only the second one in a month, with excellent service; for a lovely sunny Vit D snooze on the terrace this afternoon; for feeling good after a hair wash and wearing a dress for the shopping outing 😂; for dancing to Kfm; for feeling happy for the restaurant industry in being allowed to do Take-Away deliveries; and for feeling healthy and happy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
