Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely day, starting early as I was planning my work around a Stage 2 Loadshedding when it fell away when the City of Cape Town dropped it to Stage 1, meaning I could catch some more sleep; for getting my work finished in good time this morning; for returning the Woolworths trolley, combining it with a walk to Maiden’s Cove and back, earning 300 Discovery points; for the lovely clouds today; for fetching my Mohnbrötchen from Dinkel; for a good client meeting at Utopia Cape Town; for a fun afternoon and evening in the excellent company of Gary Peterson, surprising him with a visit to Lazari in Vredehoek, enjoying delicious tapas at Fat Harry’s in Kenilworth but missing seeing its owner Stuart Bailey, and for an interesting educational evening about Wagyu Beef at Rare Grill; for ending our evening off at Fat Harry’s; for getting home safely; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a sunny 16C day, lifting the spirits, before more rain arrives tomorrow ☔️; for a quick Blogpost write followed by a Camps Bay walk; for a trip down south, buying plants, dropping off pearl bracelets at Caroline Smith in Claremont, needing restringing, meeting her for the first time, and driving to Kenilworth to see Fat Harry’s renovation, due to reopen in October under new ownership; for popping in at Flower Café at Petals in Woodstock; for a walk through Bakoven, bumping into my Lauren and my nephew Nick Solomon ❤️, staying in Cape Town while the hotel of which he is the GM in the Seychelles is still closed to tourism; and for being happy and healthy. Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for all the wonderful rain that has been falling since midnight, with more to come, it not yet being very cold, but that is likely to come tomorrow; for a two-hour window of sunshine over lunchtime, which gave me a sunny walk in my shorts and short sleeve top; for a quick visit to Pick n Pay on my way home; for being so up to date with my work that I could allow myself a cosy afternoon watching my favorite ZDF Traumschiff series, the episode being about the UAE; for exceeding 600 Restaurants in the Food and Alcohol Delivery & Collection Facebook Group, with more than 4600 members; for a Bakoven walk with a short sunshine gap but then splashed with rain… ☔️; for dancing the rest of my steps to Kfm; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
