It’s been an exciting month of MasterChef SA Season 4, which drew to a close tonight, when the three Finalists fought it out in the MasterChef kitchen, Shawn Godfrey winning the R1 million grand prize.

Restaurant KleinJAN and Wolfgat on 2021 Conde Naste Traveller World’s Most Beautiful Restaurant List!

 

Restaurant Klein JAN is going from strength to strength, which is no surprise, given that it is owned by Restaurateur and Chef Jan-Hendrik van der Westhuizen.  What is a surprise is that it is in the Kalahari Desert on Tswalu Private Game Reserve, miles away from anywhere.

Now Restaurant Klein JAN has received a new accolade, not for its cooking but for its beauty, being one of two South African restaurants making the 2021 Conde Nast Traveller Most Beautiful Restaurants in the World List, out of 39 restaurants in total, and accompanied by Wolfgat in Paternoster. #Grateful #grateful #grateful for how far I have come during the Corona Virus Lockdown in the past four months, writing a post on Facebook and my Blog about everything I’m grateful for; for a calm peaceful day; for a walk through Camps Bay and then Bakoven, seeing lots of bins standing outside on the pavements, residents not getting the message that the garbage service was cancelled today; for not being affected by the protests in Cape Town today; for the weather turning into a beautiful day, warm at 18C, and very cosy in the sun on the terrace; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
