#Grateful for the third beautiful summer day in a row, at 24C, after we had the coldest week in 10 years last week 😱; for a productive morning, having to change client operating hours on their websites and Social Media, with Utopia reopening today, after 4 weeks of closure; for a quick visit by Werner and Rose Klein, who had an eventful day, starting with their second vaccination, which they celebrated with Apple Tart & Cream at Labotessa Hotel, where I will go on Friday after getting my second jab; for a trip to Hout Bay, Continue reading →
The Sweet Service Award goes to Camps Bay Law Enforcement and its acting head Officer Ivor Ramsay, a breath of fresh air who landed in our suburb during the start of Lockdown. The office has been very poorly manned in the two years since I returned to live in Camps Bay, and one rarely sees any officers walking the Promenade, which means that illegal trading, begging, unlicensed vehicles, alcohol consumption on the beaches, and littering go unchecked. A homeless person Michael Shange, who has been aggressively begging locals for contributions to his ‘Beach cleaning’ activity in Camps Bay in the past two months, but just taking the money and not cleaning, and has been seen walking along Camps Bay intoxicated, is being dealt with by the office, following a number of harassment complaints it has received from locals.
