Saturday 6 February 2021, Day 42 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 318 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude πŸ™

#Grateful for a lovely 26C day, with little wind; for a slow lazy start to the day; for an energetic walk to Clifton and back (earning 300 Discovery points), with the beach and picnic areas packed, almost as busy as on public holidays and many walkers between Camps Bay and Clifton, the fewest wearing masks at all or correctly; for a lovely chat and water stop at The 41 with Emma and Marius Blanc, the Restaurant having reopened three days ago; for getting my Daily Maverick 168 at Pick n Pay via Odwa, not having to stand in the queue outside the store; for a little afternoon snooze; for the most amazing review of Utopia Cape Town on the Good, Bad & Nasty Facebook page πŸ‘; for trying my best to clean up at the Tidal Pool, having asked Camps Bay residents to assist me during our Loadshedding starting at 18h00, but no one came, yet there was a sweet young boy who picked up the litter in the stream for me πŸ’™; for bumping into Ashleigh Fleming and Dirk; for a call with Gary Peterson; for a call with my Alex earlier in the day; and for being happy and healthy. πŸ™πŸ’™ Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude πŸ™

#Grateful for a super sunny day, not a cloud, and a warm 19C in the sun, but chilly now as the wind has turned North-West, bringing us rain tomorrow; for a successful Camps Bay Clean this morning, with a lovely community spirit; for a two-hour Vit D sizzle in the sun on my terrace; for another Camps Bay walk this afternoon, to shop at Pick n Pay, disappointed that there was so much litter after we had cleaned it up so nicely this morning 😱😒; for a catch up chat with Jenny Stephens this morning, not having seen her in a week, she being very busy; for dancing to Kfm πŸ’ƒ; and for being happy and healthy. πŸ’™πŸ™ Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude πŸ™

#Grateful for the rain which fell today, and is promising more tonight and tomorrow morning, but it is cooooold, the first day that I am really freezing; for receiving the results of a Survey conducted amongst Tourism and Hospitality businesses last month from Marius Blanc, which I turned into a Blogpost; for a quick walk to a section of Camps Bay, meeting the Detective about the threat from Michael the Homeless person, but the detective had no file and knew nothing about the case 😱, and for popping in at the lovely Law Enforcement Officer Ivor Ramsay, chatting in his nice and warm office; for getting back home just before the rain came pelting down; for the good news that my Tourist Guiding badge is done and ready for collection, which dear classmate Martin Koch has offered to collect for both of us; for causing a bit of a stir when I picked up that the newly gazetted Level 2 regulations do not contain any reference to Tobacco products, seeing them before they were presented by Mrs Zol Zuma, who only mentioned the uplifting of the ban verbally; for snow/sleet allegedly falling higher up in Camps Bay and on Table Mountain; for staying home this afternoon and doing some admiin work; for planning my week ahead, and visits coming up, given that they are legal from tomorrow πŸ™; for my warm bed waiting for me, with a warming cup of tea and Jammies whiskey, it is that cold at 13C; for dancing to Kfm for a large part of the afternoon to get to my step goal; and for being happy and healthy. πŸ™πŸ’™ Continue reading →
