Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for the perseverance in spending almost all day writing the lengthy Review of the new Grand Pavilion, at which Gary Peterson and I ate yesterday; for a quick walk to Pick n Pay to post my SwitchBitch book to TJ Strydom, he writing the Koos Bekker biography; for a quick shop at Woolies, where the Wifi didn’t work, but one of the Manager gave me a Wifi hotspot from his phone 🙏; for a spontaneous small Pedi at Sorbet, having a gap; for early dinner at Anatoli Turkish Restaurant with Katie Friedman, to try its Restaurant Week Menu, running until 2 May; for the surprise in bumping into Jürgen Muess once again at the restaurant (Donoven Hammond Gloy can you believe this?) and for a Facebook Friend Sarie Spryt from the Garden Route dining there too and recognizing me 😱; for getting home just before Loadshedding started; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely day, with a foggy start and possibly ending with rain, according to the clouds and Kfm; for winning 350 Discovery Gameboard Points today, enabling me to buy a R100 Woolies voucher added to left l-over points from last week; for an Earl Grey tea visit and a SwitchBitch Book series Book 3 buy by Marlene’ Eggersglusz van Duuren for her friend Lisa’s birthday; for getting my work done in time today for my client meeting; for a lovely brainstorming Status meeting with my client and the chef; for a walk that turned out to be one in my garage, having forgotten to bring my mask when I went for a walk, so I thought there was a message in that, going round and round in the garage, as I did many a day when we were in Level 5 last year, amazingly earning a wow 500 points; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a relaxed smooth-flowing organized day; for no wind at all, on a 27C day; for a brisk uphill walk with Imtiaz, from Victoria Road in Bakoven  to Ingleside Road and back, giving me a good Cardio workout and 300 points; for 2 Discovery Gameboard plays just after midnight and just before Loadshedding, not getting enough points to buy a voucher;  for receiving just over R500 back from Discovery Insure for good driving and lower petrol usage; for getting some of my work for tomorrow done today; for receiving a R300 voucher from Royal Canin for kitten food, but how to cash it in is still a riddle; for a R50 discount voucher from Checkers60 which I used to buy Whiskas pouches, the favorite of my Kits, my total saving being R15 as they charge R35 delivery…. 😱; for an early morning call from Barbara Lenhard, who is back in Cape Town with her Flo for a few weeks, arranging a dinner date; for another walk during Loadshedding this afternoon, and using the time to do some non-internet admin; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
