Corona Gratitude đ
#grateful for a good nightâs sleep; for more sun today, on and off, and for not being as cold as it sounded when Kfmâs Brandon Leigh kept saying this will be the coldest day and night this year today, at 14C today and 7C tonight; for a visit by our Absolute Fire fire equipment servicing company, confirming that our smoke detector fire alarm system does not conform to SANS legal standards đ±, this company offering amazing service and advice, not charging for their visit today; for finishing off the Zest website today, selecting the photographs for it; for my rolls waiting for me at Dinkel Bakery; for a quick shop of lovely fresh avo, cucumber and tomato, as well as a baguette, at Fideliâs Deli; for a spoil after a good morning at Labotessa CafĂ©, with apple tart, cream, and lovely Earl Grey tea; for a chatty Status meeting at Anatoli, ending off with a taste of Naartjie-flaked sorbet made by my client Russell Zieff, and photographing Mezze dishes and more of the interior; for getting home just as Loadshedding started, it still being light enough to unpack the shopping and to start walking around my couch, to reach my step goal and to keep me warm, just odd to do it without music, but so romantic to do it by candlelight; for the amazing gift of only having one hour of Loadshedding đđđ; and for being warm, happy, healthy, and free. đđ
My Blogpost today was a summary of the last six episodes of âIn die Sop – Restaurant Evolusieâ, the kykNET series led by Chef Bertus Basson having come to an end.
I can sense that the tables are turning at EbbTide, the BnB owners not liking my Fire inspection âactivismâ. The co-conspirator on the illegal locking of the one Firedoor, our ChairMAN Rhode Snyman, lashed out at me by email and then forbade me to reply to her – what a wonderful invitation to do exactly that! The fact that the other three owners use their apartments for AirBnB purposes has Insurance implications I learnt today, which Sandak-Lewin has never pointed out! I feel a book coming on : âSwitchBitch: the ebb and tides at EbbTide, a handbook for Sectional Title Cruella (as in Guerilla) Warfare!â Could become a Bestseller. đđđđ

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, Â extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June and extended by two weeks on 11 July, Â is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
