On Friday radio station Kfm announced the winners in each of the 30 categories in its 2022 Best of the Cape Awards.

The Sweet Service Award goes to TakeaLot, the delivery service I trust, not being a fan of online ordering generally. I found a reasonably priced USP to keep my internet router going, and ordered one as well as some cat food. I was given a one week delivery time, probably due to the USP availability, but the actual delivery was done in two working days after placing the order. #grateful for a most beautiful day, wind-free and at 26C; for spending the day working, with a little Vit D break; for a longer walk, popping in at Woolies, and seeing the sun set at the Tidal Pool; for retrograde Mercury having gone back to normal 🙏; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙
My FitBit strap came loose during my walk, luckily I didn’t lose it. The kind manager at Woolies gave me an elastic band so that I could fasten it to my wrist to not lose any steps. 👣👏 I’ve ordered 2 replacement straps from TakeaLot. Continue reading →

#grateful for a very quiet day, catching up on work after a very busy short work week; for a beautiful sunny 19C day; for the opportunity to stretch in picking up litter, more than I’ve seen in a while with more picnickers at the Tidal Pool today; for a beautiful sunset, seeing part of it at the Bakoven Rock, which has a crowd of regulars; for a lovely Camps Bay and Bakoven walk all in one, finishing off my steps with dancing to Kfm; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
