#Grateful for another day of abundance 🙏; for a slightly cooler day but mostly sunny; for a perfect TakeaLot delivery of cat food; for Checkers 60 Minutes reversing the overcharge on yesterday’s changed delivery; for two Discovery Gameboard plays; for a walk to Clifton 3rd beach, with lots of litter around Maiden’s Cove, gaining 200 points; for an additional 360 Discovery points for my heathy food purchases this month at Pick n Pay, a very good start to my goal of reaching Diamond Status before the end of the year; for the film industry being fortunate to film a Vodacom TV commercial in Camps Bay for the past two days, I not seeing it yesterday as I was not in Camps Bay for most of the day, but Tracy Jackson sent me some pics, one with a ❤️; for the invitation to attend a launch of ‘Around My Table’ by Denise Cowburn-Levy of Ginger & Lime in Fresnaye, and the Kitchen Collective in Bo-Kaap, at Bokeh Creative Space on Regent Road in Sea Point this evening, being super lucky to win a prize ❤️; for rain having started falling ; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
At the launch of the first book by Denise Cowburn-Levy at Bokeh Creative Space in Sea Point last night, I was lucky to win a copy of her book ‘Around my Table’, for knowing the answer to a question relating to Chef Liam Tomlin, described by Denise as her mentor. The 260 page book is part memoir, part travel book to the West Coast, Greece, Italy, and Thailand, and part recipe book, with food associations with each region and country of her travels, including those of Cape Town.
