#grateful for a hot Summerā€™s day, peaking at 34C, therefore going for a very early walk to Woolies, only having slept for 4 hours, after so much sleep yesterday; for a mega security camera installation started in our Ebbtide apartment block today, allowed to help choose where the 9 cameras must go, this issue having caused great stress last week, more installation work lying ahead for tomorrow; for a busy work morning; for getting caught up in a Netflix series ā€˜Inventing Annaā€™, another swindle story; for photographing Valentineā€™s Day diners and dishes at Anatoli, Utopia, and Zezt, all three restaurants busy this evening; for a Valentineā€™s Day spoil Dairy Den ice cream ā¤ļø; and for being happy, healthy and free. šŸ™šŸ’™

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, Ā extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July, Ā returned to Level 3 on 26 July, returned to Level 2 on 13 September, returned to Level 1 on 1 October, Ā and the Curfew Curfew lifted on 30 December 2021 is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.

#grateful for a busy day, and for goals achieved, with good time-keeping; for posting for my clients this morning and this afternoon; for getting photocopies of documents made at Wizards in Gardens (very slow service), having them stamped at the Cape Town Central police station (far more efficient than I expected), and for being very luck today be allowed to enter the Dept of Home Affairs at 15h05, with hundreds of people in the queue outside, to drop off all my paperwork at the Citizenship Department, the letter Iā€™m needing to be able to renew my German passport likely to take 3 – 6 Continue reading →
