Restaurant Association of SA attacks Ramaphosa on the eve of anticipated Level 4 Lockdown extension!

 

The Restaurant Association of South Africa (RASA) has come out in a sharp attack against President Ramaphose this afternoon,  in anticipation of the President extending the current Level 4 Lockdown, in a speech which is expected this weekend.
In its long media statement RASA calls on the Government to urgently allow restaurants to operate again. It supports this by stating that more than 1000 restaurants have closed down permanently since March last year, and more are expected during this current Level 4 Lockdown.

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for sleeping right through last night without disturbance, even if it was only for 5 hours; for a sunshine afternoon, after a grey morning and back to a grey evening, with more rain on the way; for a good working day, catching up on what I didn’t get to in this busy and depressing week; for a lovely uplifting catch-up phone chat with Gary Peterson ❤️; for tidying up a wardrobe and finding my well-worn polka dot leggings, which I’ve worn on both Caminos; for a Bakoven and a Camps Bay walk; for a long chat with Vivian Warby ❤️, both of us having had a terrible week; for a little VitD therapy in the sun this afternoon with my cats; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

President Ramaphosa announces new Lockdown Adjusted Level 4 regulations!

 

In a Speech following his Adjusted Level 3 Speech a mere 13 days ago, President Ramaphosa announced hard-hitting new measures to curb the ravaging Wave 3 of the Corona Pandemic in our country, with effect from tomorrow.

The President announced an Adjusted Level 4 Lockdown as of tomorrow, with Curfew starting at 21h00.  Restaurants may only offer Food Delivery and Collection.  No alcohol sales are allowed at all.
