Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for another beautiful day, even though I spent half of it in bed, just enjoying not going out, and doing a thorough Facebook catchup; for a lovely walk full of connections up to the start of Clifton; for reconnecting with Eagle van Manen, the owner of the B&B in Apricale in Italy at which I’ve stayed three times, twice of which to write two of my Books; for ‘reconnecting’ with Vivian Warby when she drove past me; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
It is the third week with Minsky, and she is settled in, sleeping next to me while I lounged in my bed this morning. She loves her fleece blanket. This afternoon she was allowed outside without me being too anxious, coming back inside on her own.
This afternoon it was time to move and it was warmer outside than inside. I saw a chap I met on my walk last week, but didn’t remember his name. Then I bumped into Lynette Wertschnig, a fellow Huguenot High learner of many moons ago, and we had a long catch up chat. A white car drove past and someone waved, so I waved back. It was Rose Klein and her husband Werner, who drove through Camps Bay on their way home, I never having met them directly. They stopped and we had a catch-up chat. Werner gifted me a copy of the latest Süd-Afrika Magazin.
An interesting evening lying ahead, about which there will be no reporting…. 😱
I loved coming back home to watch Hope @ Home on Tour on ZDF via ARTE, a concert that was performed outside in the countryside, in Elmau in the Bavarian Alps, with Alp horns, Daniel Müller-Schott on cello, and Daniel Hope on violin. Bravo. 👏👏👏

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, and lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
