Saturday 4 July 2020, Day 34 at Level 4, after 66 days at levels 5 and 4 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for reaching the 100th day of Lockdown, having enjoyed this process and learning so far, sadly feeling at my lowest today in all the past 100 days, yet so happy to celebrate with the most beautiful music performed by Daniel Hope with Hope @ Home on Tour, from Zürich with the Zürich Chamber Orchestra, largely dedicated to the celebration of American Independence Day; for having Joel come to work today, not cleaning up Camps Bay for a change but transforming our apartment garden; for an energetic walk to Clifton Fourth Beach and back in sunny mild weather before rain comes along tomorrow; for a complimentary taste of Unframed ice cream, now available at Sunset Sessions 🙏; for a shop at Pick n Pay; for a shorter walk to Bakoven; finding horrid litter in the driveway of a house, mainly with beer bottles; for all the love in the sky today, so many 💙 clouds; and for a very early night in bed, to get over this pain. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 28 of Level 3, 28 June 2020.

Sunday 28 June 2020, 28th Day of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 5 and 4 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for all the rain overnight and this morning, the day clearing to a mostly sunny afternoon, perfect for going for a walk as far as Clifton 4th Beach, as well as a late afternoon one through Bakoven, bumping into Haakon and Thomas Bauerkämper, the most often seen exercisers since Lockdown began over 3 months ago, I wearing a short-sleeved top, it was so nice and warm; for being a busy 🐝 this morning, having a deadline by which the Body Corporate AGM queries had to be sent to Sandak-Lewin 48 hours in advance, despite their Portfolio Manager still not having answered all my AGM questions sent to him a week ago, earning him a big fat Sour Service Award 😡; for a long cat cuddle in bed this morning 🐱; for a long chat with my MasterChick Jenny Stephens; for dancing to my playlist and to Kfm; for my stress level dropping, measured by my Resting Heart Rate; for receiving a call from the lovely Law Enforcement Officer Ivor Ramsay, who is back to look after Camps Bay, even if just for a few more days; for another concert by Daniel Hope with his Hope @ Home on Tour, performed at the Monopol, formerly a Distillery in Berlin; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Sunday 14 June 2020, Day 14 of Level 3, after 66 days at Lockdown Levels 5 and 4. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for the lovely rain falling now, as well as early this afternoon, it can never rain enough ☔️; for a sun break this afternoon so that I could do a Camps Bay walk and pop in at Pick n Pay, its Service having improved vastly since Lockdown, now stocking local butter again after only selling imported brands, when I requested this of the manager 🙏; for a spoil morning in bed, becoming a bad habit, when I felt cold; for loving wearing my shorts when I walk, not feeling the cold then, asked by a local on the walk if I’m a foreigner in wearing the shorts …. ; for the privilege of listening to a Solo piano concert by Nina Schumann, playing virtually for the first time from Casa Labia in Muizenberg, by invite from Louise Howlett 💙🙏🎶; for a special concert coming by Daniel Hope in Schloss Elmau in the Bavarian Alps, tonight indoors; for dancing to my fabulous playlist, a mix of pop and classic, both danceable 💃💃💃; for a long phone chat with Jenny Stephens; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Saturday 13 June 2020, Day 13 of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 5 and 4 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another beautiful day, even though I spent half of it in bed, just enjoying not going out, and doing a thorough Facebook catchup; for a lovely walk full of connections up to the start of Clifton; for reconnecting with Eagle van Manen, the owner of the B&B in Apricale in Italy at which I’ve stayed three times, twice of which to write two of my Books; for ‘reconnecting’ with Vivian Warby when she drove past me; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
