Tuesday 29 June 2021, Day 2 of Level 4 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#grateful for another day of rain, rain, rain, and more to come until the weekend; for a better night’s sleep, with a very early working break in-between; for a hard-working morning; for a quick Bakoven walk at lunchtime, staying dry for half an hour; for getting my car filled up at BP President, missing the lovely Mike who was not on duty today, using slightly less than a full tank this month; for a client management meeting, organizing things for the next two weeks; for a cat food shop at Checkers, with much better service than I usually experience; for a good efficient shop at Woolies; for a good step walk in our garage; and for being healthy and free. 🙏💙
My Blogpost today was about the new Zest Restaurant. What a pity it closed a week after opening, Take-Aways not being financially viable.
How sad to see Camps Bay so grey and empty. Only a handful of restaurants are operating: Vida e Caffe, Kauai, Col’Cacchio, La Belle, SurfShack, Primi Piatti, Starbucks. 😢😢😢
I’m stressed and anxious about our Ebbtide AGM tomorrow, a once a year nightmare. We received a 57 page pack for it, which I have to wade through tonight. 😱🥵 I managed to speak to the Sandak Lewin MD Carl Smit on the phone, answering an important question.
It is one of the coldest days in ages. I even found a pair of slippers in my cupboard, my feet were so cold. I’ve taken out my gloves. So grateful for my electric blanket.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
