Thursday 21 January 2021, Day 25 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 302 of Lockdown 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a close to perfect day; for waking up early, and starting to write immediately, given that Thursdays are always my busy day of the week; for having an hour available for a Camps Bay walk before my Cleaning Team arrived, gaining 300 Discovery points; for finding a bush on Camps Bay Drive with hidden litter, which I showed Carmen and Imtiaz; for getting all my writing work done by 13h00, when I had to get ready to leave for town; for Miss M and Mr G being far more tolerant of each other 😻😻; for striking a compromise deal about Henry’s salary increase; for a good meeting to present the Communication proposal for Client 2; for a very good Status meeting with Utopia; for meeting Jenny Stephens in Mouille Point, going for a walk and tea at Lillies afterwards ; for bumping into Tania Harrison at Lillies, celebrating the birthday of her son; for returning to Utopia to photograph an engagement, the lucky lady crying, being so moved; for the fabulous feedback about my work from Utopia Owner/Chef Pavel, and via their coffee supplier Ciro who told a manager that Utopia is the talk of the town in Cape Town, after 2 1/2 months of working with them; for Cain at Dinkel Bakery keeping my two poppyseed rolls; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
The weather has turned, and it is humid, overcast, and windy, almost expecting a thunderstorm. Rain is forecast for tonight.
My Blogpost today was about the plea by Western Cape Premier Alan Winde for the Health Minister to extend the Curfew start time to 23h00, to allow controlled alcohol sales, and for beaches to reopen, given the decreasing infection numbers.
Jenny and I had not seen each other for a month, so we had a lot of catching up to do. ❤️
I have my own self-imposed Loadshedding tonight, my meter having run out, until it can be topped up in the morning. An early to bed night 😱
After I had reached the compromise salary increase for Henry, the horrid Trustee started hassling about a backdated increase which I had requested going back to September. Once again, the Bitch in her came to the fore, and she did not agree. Her apartment has been fully booked for the same period. So petty and tight-fisted.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, and extended to 15 February on 11 January, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
