Monday 25 May 2020, Day 25 of Level 4 after 35 days at Level 5 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for the glorious rain that has been falling overnight and all day; for having the big garage downstairs in which I could make up my minimum step goal for the day, with a good Cardio pace; for being productive in working all day, not being able to leave home for a shopping walk as one shower after the other came rolling in; for creating a new service on the Restaurant Food Delivery Facebook page, by indicating which restaurants will allow Food Collection, marked with a C, from next week; for the Facebook page having exceeded 4200 members today; for our number one SA restaurant La Colombe joining in on a Delivery service; for dancing to Kfm the rest of my Steps via Couchrobics; and for feeling happy and healthy. 🙏💙

It was wet in Exercise Time this morning, so I worked from bed until I had to go outside to take the garbage bin onto the pavement. I wanted to go to Pick n Pay, but there wasn’t a long enough non-rain gap to do so.

I wrote a Blogpost based on a media statement received from the Restaurant Association of SA, expressing gratitude to the Government for allowing Restaurant Food Collection by diners from 1 June. The association is lobbying for a safe sit-down restaurant opening.

Corona Virus Lockdown: Restaurant Association of SA thanks Government for allowing Restaurant Food Collection in Level 3, to lobby for safe sit-down restaurant opening!

Ms Minsky is very active at night, and therefore slept on her favorite cushion almost all day. Mr KitKat was very disturbed that he couldn’t spend the day wandering outside, getting wet at times, and then coming back inside. He loves to drink the fresh rainwater. He loves the catnip which I bought, eating it all when I sprinkled it on his blanket. I also sprinkled some on the scratch box which Minsky brought along, and it is now KitKat’s favorite spot to lie on. They are almost friends now. 🐱🐱

I’ve just seen that my Canadian Tour Operator has done a post of its Cape Town guides, congratulating us on Africa Day. One of my pics with Guiding clients is included. ❤️❤️❤️

SA Corona Status: 23615 cases 481 deaths 😷😥

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, and lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
