German couple Wolfgang and Cornelial wanted some Cape sunshine, and booked a two week trip to Cape Town spontaneously. Their travel agent booked them three destinations: Franschhoek, Sanbona, and the V& A Waterfront in Cape Town. They had visited Cape Town seven years ago.
The Travel Ban was instituted by most countries in Europe, the USA and UK on their last day, a Black Friday of 26 November. They received notification late that evening that their Qatar flight to Frankfurt had been cancelled for the following day. #Grateful for the glorious rain that has been falling overnight and all day; for having the big garage downstairs in which I could make up my minimum step goal for the day, with a good Cardio pace; for being productive in working all day, not being able to leave home for a shopping walk as one shower after the other came rolling in; for creating a new service on the Restaurant Food Delivery Facebook page, by indicating which restaurants will allow Food Collection, marked with a C, from next week; for the Facebook page having exceeded 4200 members today; for our number one SA restaurant La Colombe joining in on a Delivery service; for dancing to Kfm the rest of my Steps via Couchrobics; and for feeling happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for another beautiful day, it being dry during Exercise Time and warm enough to walk sleeveless, with far fewer exercisers than yesterday; for focusing on my Cardio today, putting myself first, and picking up litter on my walk back home, getting as far as Clifton First Beach; for chatting to Ashleigh Fleming and her Dirk on the way back; for a morning focused on updating the Restaurant Food Delivery Facebook Group list, and for so many members inviting their Friends to the Group that we exceeded 3800 today; for the generosity once again from Jared Stein of Camps Bay Hardware in gifting me a piece of board to catproof my terrace for Minsky, Jared even dropping it off at my door; for a little drizzle this afternoon ☔️; for being featured twice in the May newsletter of the Canadian Tour Operator for whom I do the German Walking Tours of our City; and for being happy and healthy 🙏💙 Continue reading →
