Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a most wonderful day today, that just started off amazingly, carrying on throughout the day; for getting my writing work done early this morning, having written most of it yesterday already; for the most amazing friendly service at BP when I put in petrol early this morning, to avoid the queue later in the day; for a fabulous fresh and refreshing walk through Camps Bay, bumping into Thomas and Haakon yet again; for popping in at Sunset Sessions to buy a treat for Henry; for sitting 2 hours before the Body Corporate AGM to do my last preparation, Henry helping me to log into Microsoft Teams for the online AGM; for a surprisingly pleasant AGM, all my upfront preparation work paying off; for a lovely celebratory walk after the meeting, enjoying taking pics at Glen Beach and the Camps Bay Tidal Pool; for a celebratory glass of Shiraz; for dancing 💃 to Kfm Dansdag; and for being very happy and healthy. 🙏💙
I had to switch petrol stations due to being with Discovery Insure now, so I drove to BP in Sea Point, on Regent Road, my first fill-up there, and Mike welcomed me there with such psssion for his job that I was shocked, not having experienced such friendliness at an Engen ever. He checked the oil, water and tyres, proactively! 👏👏👏
i wrote a Blogpost today about the fun Jenny Stephens and I had last week in cooking Beef Wellington with Chefs Luke Dale Roberts and Pete Goffe Wood on Live-Cook Channel.
I’m updating the Facebook Group Food Delivery and Collection list, adding the restaurants offering a Sit-Down service. It’s a big task, and I’ll focus on it tomorrow.
The AGM meeting had a surprise/shock start, I discovering that a Chairman of our Body Corporate had sneakily been elected in my absence while traveling overseas last year, a person who is very hard to like. I had received no minutes of a Trustees meeting which had been held directly after the 2019 AGM. But I recovered quickly, as I realized that it has made no difference to me living in the building that she holds this title. Then I was back in control. A more pleasant surprise was how fair, neutral and dare I say nice the Portfolio Manager is, very different to his email persona. I had never met him, as he has not been to visit to our building in a year. We sailed through the minutes of last year as well as the Budget, as I was well-prepared, speaking the most, while the Chairman did most of the analysis of the Audited Financial Statements. We had one clash about Henry, Ms Chair not standing it that I’m so protective over him, especially in the way she speaks to him! 😡😡 I was pleased about the victory I achieved for him.
I got lovely reflection shots at the Camps Bay Tidal Pool, looking like a sheet of glass this afternoon.
I was so excited to bump into Craig and Lisa, a couple which I saw almost every day when we were allowed to exercise in the mornings during Level 4, and today for the first time this month. They are so sweet, full of compliments. 💙💙💙
I’ll be dancing some more tonight, lovely dancing music on Kfm. ❤️💃❤️

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, and lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
