Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a peaceful day; it being a little cooler, and with an extremely strong South Easter blowing this afternoon, dissuading picnickers from coming to Camps Bay today, hence barely any litter; for a lovely lunch with Tania Harrison at Lily’s, both of us having similar histories, driving the same car, and growing up in neighbouring towns, #thankyou 🌹; for being able to fetch my laundry in Sea Point even though they were technically closed; for a power walk on my secret Bakoven path, sadly with lots of litter at its start, and giving me some protection against the wind, earning 300 Discovery points; for feeling warmed up on my return, the wind feeling chilly when I started walking; for Utopia receiving two excellent reviews on the Cape Town Restaurants: The Good; Bad & Nasty Facebook Group in the past two days; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

My Blogpost today was about the airlines currently flying into our country, and those planning to in the near future.

International Travel to/from South Africa picking up slowly again!

Lunch at Lily’s was good, but my ‘toasted marshmallow’ ice cream was nothing as the name implied, the manager’s explanation being totally unsatisfactory, so I switched to a chocolate and vanilla ice cream bowl. Nice to see Arno Johann Heinse there.

I took on moaner-groaner Paul Jacobson from the Sea Point Action Facebook Group this morning, when he wanted to disparage Camps Bay alongside Sea Point and other Atlantic Seaboard suburbs. I suggested that he get his hands dirty and clean up litter there as I do in Camps Bay. He became more and more complaining, playing victim, and claiming that his contribution to Sea Point is worth R3 million, without a breakdown 😂😂🥲. He then accused me of doing nothing for Sea Point, only attending one community meeting there, despite knowing that I live in Camps Bay, and do more than my fair share for Camps Bay! What an idiot 🥵🥵🥵

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
