Tuesday 31 August 2021, Day 36 of Level 3. 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#grateful for a day that went from zero to 100 🙏; for being very organized in getting my work done this morning, preparing for two Status meetings, getting my blogpost posted; and even fitting in a Bakoven walk; for getting a pool problem attended to; for a quick shop at Checkers and Woolies in Sea Point; for excellent Status Meetings with newkings boutique hotel and Zest Restaurant, so happy that a former client is helping out at Zest, our meeting like those of old times; for doing my monthly petrol fill-up at BP President, my favorite attendant Mike unfortunately not there; for finally being relieved of our Sandak-Lewin Portfolio Manager Greg Anderson after enduring him for 2 years, and replaced by a woman, a request I made to their MD Carl Smit, hoping for excellent new beginnings 👏👏🙏🙏; for addressing a beautiful manbun man Steve in the Woolies about our La Parada dancing days………💃🕺; and for being happy, healthy and free.🙏💙
My Blogpost today was about my litter cleaning in Camps Bay, and the recent article about it in the Atlantic Sun.
It was the second night running that the tenants above me, staying in Magali Seguillon’s 202 apartment in Ebbtide, woke me up with their noise at 2h00 this morning, this time with loud music. I had to call the Security company twice, they accompanied by the police on the second visit, reducing the bass setting of the TV through which the music is played. So annoying, after about 6 weeks of almost peace and quiet in the building. Not one word of apology from the French owner, to whom I sent photographs in my email of complaint. 🥵🥵🥵🥵 I’m grateful to have survived the day on so little sleep .

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July, and returned to Level 3 on 26 July, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
