Tuesday 21 July 2020, Day 51 of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 5 and 4 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a calm and peaceful day; for a beautiful sunny day but a chill initially, peaking at 18C; for a good writing morning and updating the Food Collection and Delivery list, as well as the restaurants opening for Sit-Down as well as the Restaurant Closure list; for an energetic walk to Clifton and back, with minimal litter; for a good fruit shop at Pick n Pay, the Woolies fruit shelves almost depleted, only having apples; for dancing to Kfm Dansdag; and for being happy and healthy 🙏💙
My Blogpost today was about the two restaurant protests to be held this week, tomorrow and on Friday. The number of Camps Bay restaurants participating tomorrow has grown to four. The police are not giving their blessing to the protest. 😱 They are going ahead anyway, nationally.
My write-up about Quince Restaurant in my Facebook Group did not go down well with the restaurant Social Media poster, receiving an angry Messenger message from him. Yesterday he thanked a friend of mine from Germany, who reacted to one of my food pics on Instagram, for coming to the restaurant! #dof
How amazing that the Government announced extending its UIF/TERS payouts by six weeks today, after I wrote about its suspension at the end of June yesterday!
I’m annoyed that I have not yet received my Tourist Guide card, but happy for three of my classmates who received them since yesterday. No one is replying to my emails.
We did a test of the ADT service before I wrote my recommendation to the fellow Trustees once again to cancel their service at our apartment block. Henry pressed the panic button at 9h00 this morning, and we are still waiting for a response! 🥵
Loving listening and dancing to DJ Black Coffee live from Mykonos 💃💃💃
SA Corona Status 381798 cases 5368 deaths 😷😥
FitBit 12000 steps 8,5 km 👣

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, and lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
