Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for an energetic day in walking with Imtiaz up to The Roundhouse, the oldest building in Camps Bay, to clean up litter near the Camps Bay High School, loving its views from there, and a good heart exertion, earning 300 Discovery points; for a fabulous 8 hours of sleep; for finishing my writing in time for the walk; for a treat fruit salad and basil sorbet at The 41 for that exertion; for writing a second story this afternoon when the Jacques Pauw story broke about his 360 degree turnaround; for a relaxed afternoon; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
My first Blogpost today was the review of Noah Café, where Gary Peterson and I had lunch on Saturday.
This afternoon I wrote about the unbelievable (to me) turnaround by Jacques Pauw, a once highly regarded investigative journalist, and a restaurant owner, but now his reputation is in tatters!
Imtiaz and I had a water and Coke at The Lawns at The Roundhouse. Interesting new Hands sculpture there.
We were very happy to see the City’s Parks Department mow the lawns today, especially at the stream at the Tidal Pool, and trimming palm and other trees in Camps Bay today. We saw the smoke from the Signal Hill fire, happy that it is under control.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January, and extended but relaxed on 1 February, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
