Paris Cape Town brings French Boulangerie and Pâtisserie to Sea Point – generous prices, great variety!

In only two weeks Paris Cape Town has become such a hit that it was sold out of most of its breads when I arrived at the Boulangerie and Pâtisserie on Sunday.  It is truly French, with French owner Laurent, and French baker Thierry, previously of Cassis.

I have been to Paris Cape Town three times, discovering a new treat each time.

Harvest Culture Eaterie opens Modern Bistro in Tyger Falls Waterfront, celebrates Earth’s bounty!

 

In speaking to Homespun Chef Matt Schreuder about his new restaurant opening at The Andros Boutique Hotel next month, he told me that his father, the well-known restaurateur Dale Schreuder known for the Dale’s steakhouses he has owned over the past more than 30 years, has opened a new restaurant with a completely different concept.

Harvest Culture Eaterie is Dale’s tenth restaurant, and describes itself as a ‘modern Bistro’, ‘celebrating Earth’s bounty’ .

#Grateful for a lovely Mother’s Day, receiving a call from a cheerful and happy Alex, full of the joys of the English spring ❤️❤️❤️; for sharing in the celebration of the day at Utopia, taking photographs, so special to have 2 tables with three generations in the restaurant, that it was fully booked for Lunch today, and so sweet that each of the waiters wished me Happy Mother’s Day too; for celebrating my Mother’s Day with an ice cream spoil at The Dairy Den in Sea Point; for a lovely Sunday afternoon sleep on a cool afternoon; for being able to get out of bed to do a litter clean up in three hotspots with the McWilliam brothers, who helped me last week as well; and for being happy, healthy, and free. Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for an energetic day in walking with Imtiaz up to The Roundhouse, the oldest building in Camps Bay, to clean up litter near the Camps Bay High School, loving its views from there, and a good heart exertion, earning 300 Discovery points; for a fabulous 8 hours of sleep; for finishing my writing in time for the walk; for a treat fruit salad and basil sorbet at The 41 for that exertion; for writing a second story this afternoon when the Jacques Pauw story broke about his 360 degree turnaround; for a relaxed afternoon; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
