Tuesday 4 May 2021, Day 65 of Level 1 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a cooler day, fog rolling in from Lunchtime onwards, not clearing, ahead of a major storm; for a hardworking day; for a power walk up the 100 Houghton Steps, up to Ingleside Road, and then to Woolies, buying soup ingredients for the cold weather and rain coming, and gaining 300 Discovery points; for a productive afternoon tackling a major maintenance quote challenge for our apartment block, exceeding R1 million, someone having lost the plot 😡; for a refreshing Bakoven walk, with only a hint of a sunset; for such s lovely response to my photographs of the sunset yesterday 💙💙💙; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙
My Blogpost today was based on an interview which Hans-Werner Klein did with me last week, about the changes in our Restaurant industry in the past year. Four of our Top 20 SA restaurants have closed down for good. 😱
SA Corona Status: 1 586 148 cases 339665 vaccinations 54511 deaths 😷🥲

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
