Saturday 3 July 2021, Day 6 of Level 4 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a beautiful day, relaxed, the sun being back, but with sudden showers in-between, with close to 8 hours continuous sleep, all making me feel on top of the world again, and just wanting to dance 💃; for spending almost all day writing the copy for the Zest website, now done and dusted; for a Vit D dose on the terrace with the cats, loving it; for a exerting walk in the sun, up the Houghton Steps and down my secret Bakoven lanes, when a sudden shower came from nowhere, getting Continue reading →

#grateful for a sunny day, with morning mist, not too warm at 17C; for being organized work wise and getting what I needed to done; for two Zoom meetings today, Camps Bay & Clifton Ratepayers Association committee meeting being very useful for a problem which arose today with regard to the weekend extreme noise disruption in our block; for two walks, one up the Houghton steps, needing a good stress release; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 85 of Level 1, 24 May 2021.

Monday 24 May 2021, Day 85 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a solid 7 hour sleep; a busy day, writing and writing most of the day; for a grey day, rain forecast to roll in tonight; for a lovely refreshing walk through Bakoven, up Houghton Road, and down the 100 Houghton Steps, to stretch from the all-day sitting; blessed with the most amazing sunset, changing in colour as I walked back home; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙

My Blogpost was about the fabulous lunch we had at Harvest Culture Eaterie on Saturday.

Harvest Culture Eaterie opens Modern Bistro in Tyger Falls Waterfront, celebrates Earth’s bounty!

My Earl Grey has an excellent nose, a cat gourmet, who loves the smell of my food. I had noticed him often scratching in a kitchen corner, thinking he was scooping up a bit of food in it. Last night I heard him being very active in the kitchen, with little squeals. I went to look, thinking that he had hurt himself. Anything but…. he was playing with a mouse that must have come out of a hole in the corner, and probably lived off the cat food at night. It ended off badly for the mouse, Grey playing with it the whole night through, making him exhausted today, sleeping all day. Henry helped to close the hole and dispose of the poor mouse. 🙀😿 Minsky was completely disinterested in all of this.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
