Wednesday 25 November 2020, Day 66 of Level 1, Day 245 of Lockdown 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a lovely sunny day, not too warm at 18C; for a good night’s sleep; for diving right into my new Environment portfolio regarding cleaning the Camps Bay Beachfront; for receiving two boxes of Vegan products from B-Well, promoting Vegan Month; for easily baking a Vegan Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake in a Mug, missing my MasterChick Jenny Stephens, it not being as fluffy and light as I expected it to be; for a walk to Camps Bay, including a Pick n Pay shop, being lucky to have the new nice cashier again, and for a walk in Bakoven, with little litter today 🙏; for two Discovery Vitality Gameboard plays, scoring 360 points, enough to buy a R100 Woolworths voucher for only 750 Miles (R75) together with Miles left over from last week; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
My Blogpost was very short and sweet today, being about the new regulations for Domestic air travellers, effective from today.
Domestic Air travel health regulations relaxed as of today, 25 November 2020.
B-Well couriered two boxes of Vegan products, with Canola oil, Canola and Olive oil, mayonnaises, and lots more included. For the cake I received flour, baking powder, mayonnaise (😱), chocolate, sugar, vanilla essence, plant milk, and cocoa, mixing them all together, and ‘baking’ the cake in a mug (I used a cup) for 2,5 minutes in the microwave. Couldn’t be easier!
Today I met with Camps Bay CSI Ryan Rudy, who introduced the new car guards in Camps Bay a month ago, and the first two CSI Community Cleaners, Carmen and Imtiaz, not yet wearing Green bibs, starting with Blue bibs. They will work Wednesdays to Sundays. I will work with them on these days for an hour or two, to guide them as to litter hotspots, from Bakoven to Maidens Cove. We may use one of the five days to do another Camps Bay Street (eg Camps Bay Drive) to clean up there too. It’ll keep me moving more, to address the Covid calories 🙏💙

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
