Thursday 16 December 2021, Day 77 of Level 1, Day of Reconciliation 😷

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a very relaxed day; for a day starting off at a chilly 16C, reaching 19C, and falling back to 18C, blowing a storm; for the wind and cold keeping the crowds away from Camps Bay 💙, and hence minimal Litter, sadly some of it possibly having blown into the ocean 😱; for a good Status meeting for Utopia and Anatoli, my client making me laugh, a sign that he is feeling much better; for a spoil treat at Labotessa Café, needing a warm tea and their fabulous Appeltaart and cream, given the icy wind; for being grateful to Herman Binge for subletting my business cottage in the Waterfront 30 years ago, for his Waterfront Television company, a brave step for me to take after I moved to Cape Town and started my own Research and PR consultancy, today bringing the sad news that he passed away. RIP ❤️; for a Bakoven walk; for a quick shop at Fideli’s; for dancing myself warm to Kfm💃; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙

My Blogpost today was that SA remains at Level 1, the first time it has been announced via the media, without a (Deputy) Presidential Speech and Family Gathering whilst he is in isolation. 😱

SA to remain at Level 1, a welcome relief!

Our peaceful last two months at Ebbtide were disturbed last night by new renters staying in Apartment 202 belonging to Parisian Magali Seguillon, hearing them arrive at 23h30 in the garage below me, the music blasting from the car, and then above me in the apartment, at FULL volume! Another inebriated set of verbally abusive clients! 😡

SA Corona Status:  3,255,816 cases 90263 deaths  27,422,495 vaccinations

Corona Status: not yet available

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July,  returned to Level 3 on 26 July, returned to Level 2 on 13 September, and returned to Level 1 on 1 October is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
