Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a sunny day, at 19C, slightly nippy with a South Easter, weird as rain is forecast on Friday and Saturday, with very low temperatures; for a good writing and admin catch-up morning; for a lovely chat with my Alex, sounding good; for a very good meeting with Lucille, owner of the Hillwood Property Management Company, very informative as to our Trustee rights, given the poor service we receive from Sandak-Lewin; for walks through Camps Bay and Bakoven, bumping into saxophonist George Sax and singer SiAnne, who live in Camps Bay; for two Discovery Vitality Gameboard plays; and for being healthy. 🙏💙
I had a disruptive night’s sleep, not sure what is bugging me. The apartment block and small daily irritations could be a reason. I was happy that I got my request for a Handrail Extension approved today, a request I made about seven months ago, dismissed by the Portfolio Manager at the time as not required by Building regulations. As the step tiles are not non-slip, and I fell down them earlier this year, I persevered. 👏👏👏
My Blogpost today was a story about ADHARA premium extra virgin olive oil, and its producers the Mayer Family, whom I met last weekend for the first time. A lovely story of how they started from scratch, leaving corporate careers in Germany to farm in Tulbagh. ❤️
I’m feeling a bit low, and finding it very quiet, in Camps Bay as well as on Social Media. I had such a busy fun week last week, and this week feels boring by comparison.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, and lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
