Saturday 23 January 2021, Day 27 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 304 of Lockdown. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a wonderful day, my most sociable and restaurant dining day since the start of Lockdown; for a lovely cool start to the day, not becoming warmer than 24C today, and ending with a drizzle; for a huff and puff quick walk up to midway Geneva Drive, to show my cleaning team a project to tackle, only having an hour for them, giving me 300 Discovery points; for a delicious Breakfast at Quentin at Oakhurst; for a late lunch with Stuart Bailey at Utopia; for an early dinner with Katie Friedman and her son Iggy at NV-80, my first visit to the Sea Point restaurant; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Virus: My Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 20 of Level 3 Adjusted, 16 January 2021

Saturday 16 January 2021, Day 20 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 297 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful day after rain overnight, warming up to 23C; for a fragmented sleep of three parts, not enough in total; for a very very long Telegram call of advice with a local, helping me with an issue I’ve been dealing with this week, the quality of the call being excellent, with no reconnections like on What’s App, my first one; for a walk up to Clifton 4th Beach, scoring 200 Discovery points; for a one hour Skype Committee session with my Canadian tour operator, so grateful to be part of this, and seeing a training video they have created for new tourist guides, in which I also feature; for a pop in at my client; for the Loadshedding scheduled for 14h00 not happening, as it would have affected the Skype call; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Wednesday 26 August 2020, Day 9 of Level 2, Day 153 of Lockdown😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a sunny day, at 19C, slightly nippy with a South Easter, weird as rain is forecast on Friday and Saturday, with very low temperatures; for a good writing and admin catch-up morning; for a lovely chat with my Alex, sounding good; for a very good meeting with Lucille, owner of the Hillwood Property Management Company, very informative as to our Trustee rights, given the poor service we receive from Sandak-Lewin; for walks through Camps Bay and Bakoven, bumping into saxophonist George Sax and singer SiAnne, who live in Camps Bay; for two Discovery Vitality Gameboard plays; and for being healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
