Wednesday 2 September 2020, Day 16 of Level 2, Day 160 of Lockdown. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for lots of rain ☔️, not one break in the rain all day, and more to come overnight, luckily not as cold as earlier this week; for two Discovery Vitality Gameboard plays, giving me 360 Miles; for working in my warm bed this morning; for walking half my steps in the garage, as there was no break for a walk; for an adrenaline-charged day, communicating with Premier Alan Winde, the surprisingly efficient Accounts Department of Sandak-Lewin, and with Nu-Line lift company; for dancing the rest of my steps to Kfm; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

My Blogpost today was about the #WeAreOpen campaign which has been launched to attract Domestic tourists to the Cape.

Western Cape Province and Wesgro invite locals to visit the Cape with #WeAreOpen campaign!

It is ridiculous that many of my Tourist Guide course classmates have still not received their Tourist Guide card, and none of us have officially received our Tourist Guide badge, after 3 months! (I received mine very unofficially). So I asked the Premier to please investigate.

I’m on a mission with Sandak-Lewin, and spoke to two ladies in their Accounts Department. Wow, so nice and friendly, and sending information requested immediately. My best was calling Nu-Line about charging us in full and then offering us 40% of their monthly fee for two months at the start of Lockdown, when they didnt come, our Portfolio Manager Greg not doing any better than this. I managed to negotiate the full reduction of the two months’ payment, dealing with the lovely Dee. 💙🙏 in my next life I’ll definitely come back as a lawyer. Love reading contracts.💙

My kitties are sleeping avd sleeping, not daring to set foot outside in the rain. 😻☔️

Pre-bed-warming coming up, with a very early night’s sleep, with our Stage 4 Loadshedding tonight starting at 20h00. 🥵

Just received from Premier Alan Winde:

‘Good Evening Chris

I am very sorry to hear this and hope we get this sorted out for you and the other soonest.

I trust you are well and best regards Alan’

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, and lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
