# grateful for a wonderful day, the new month having a good feeling, and being in Level 1 is a bonus; for a sunny but windy day, but not too strong to do a walk to Pick n Pay; for the fabulous day, after 4 months of hell, that Franklin the Nigerian tenant of Sacha Jack’s apartment 201 has checked out of our building, as has the Nigerian in 202, leaving only one, with a new American lady arriving today, staying for 4 months, the two of us sure to sort out noise disturbances, the lift not having moved Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a sunny day, but still chilly at 14C; for surviving on little sleep, with the Nigerian and friends partying from 1h30 until 5h00 this morning in Sacha Jack’s EbbTide Apartment 201 ; for two Discovery Gameboard plays, winning another Woolies voucher from points left over plus the new ones gained today; for walks to Camps Bay and then to Bakoven; for being able to share a not-good situation from yesterday with a wonderful client, a very good listener; for being safe in Cape Town; and for being healthy and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Sweet Service Award goes to Woolworths Hout Bay; Sour Service Award goes to EbbTide apartment 201!

The Sweet Service Award goes to Woolworths in Hout Bay, and its Assistant Manager Claudia. I went shopping at the store on Wednesday, and we had to wait for quite a while in the queue to pay. Claudia came up to us, apologising for the wait. At the till I was not greeted, but told to go to another till, but then told to stay, back and forth after quite a wait in the queue.
