Thursday 17 June 2021, Day 2 of Level 3 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a fabulous day; for a long sleep, with more deep sleep than I’ve had in ages, there being no disturbance at all, the noisy guests having checked out today 🧡🧡🧡; for getting work for my client meetings done; for the most wonderful rain overnight, during most of the day, and now again; for a good Anatoli meeting; followed by one with Utopia, doing a little winetasting, a red one, perfect for the weather; for meeting and interviewing the new Utopia Head Chef Dennis Luke, his wife working at Zest; for picking up some rolls at Kleinsky’s, and the lovely chocolate cake at Bokeh Continue reading →

Friday 2 April 2021, Good Friday, Day 33 of Level 1.

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing day, spending a large part of it sleeping, almost 10 hours in three parts since midnight, being in movie mode; for a lovely refreshing slow walk with Vivian Warby, with a coffee/tea break at Bootlegger in Bakoven, they serving delicious EnMasse Earl Grey tea, and for her Easter gift of a box of Smarties, for my movie time tonight; for a continuation of my walk to Camps Bay after Viv had gone back home, seeing Ashleigh Fleming swim at Bali Bay Beach, and having a surprise chat with the Swiss renter above me; for lovely music on Kfm now; for a perfect blood sugar level of 5,6; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Saturday 6 February 2021, Day 42 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 318 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely 26C day, with little wind; for a slow lazy start to the day; for an energetic walk to Clifton and back (earning 300 Discovery points), with the beach and picnic areas packed, almost as busy as on public holidays and many walkers between Camps Bay and Clifton, the fewest wearing masks at all or correctly; for a lovely chat and water stop at The 41 with Emma and Marius Blanc, the Restaurant having reopened three days ago; for getting my Daily Maverick 168 at Pick n Pay via Odwa, not having to stand in the queue outside the store; for a little afternoon snooze; for the most amazing review of Utopia Cape Town on the Good, Bad & Nasty Facebook page 👏; for trying my best to clean up at the Tidal Pool, having asked Camps Bay residents to assist me during our Loadshedding starting at 18h00, but no one came, yet there was a sweet young boy who picked up the litter in the stream for me 💙; for bumping into Ashleigh Fleming and Dirk; for a call with Gary Peterson; for a call with my Alex earlier in the day; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another beautiful day, it being dry during Exercise Time and warm enough to walk sleeveless, with far fewer exercisers than yesterday; for focusing on my Cardio today, putting myself first, and picking up litter on my walk back home, getting as far as Clifton First Beach; for chatting to Ashleigh Fleming and her Dirk on the way back; for a morning focused on updating the Restaurant Food Delivery Facebook Group list, and for so many members inviting their Friends to the Group that we exceeded 3800 today; for the generosity once again from Jared Stein of Camps Bay Hardware in gifting me a piece of board to catproof my terrace for Minsky, Jared even dropping it off at my door; for a little drizzle this afternoon ☔️; for being featured twice in the May newsletter of the Canadian Tour Operator for whom I do the German Walking Tours of our City; and for being happy and healthy 🙏💙 Continue reading →
