Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beauty of a day, summer coming back at 26C and not a breath of wind, with hordes of beachgoers in Bakoven; for getting the bulk of my writing work done when Loadshedding hit us at 12h00, a critical time for me as I had a client meeting this afternoon; for a good client meeting, loving the brainstorming every week, and excited about our very humble Chef Jacques du Toit likely to soon becoming famous; for a lovely energetic walk on my new Bakoven walking way; for a lovely sunset; for Minsky coming home safely this morning, after a night out on the town 💙😻; for gaining two Discovery Gameboard plays, enabling me to buy a Woolies R100 voucher; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Saturday 13 March 2021, Day 13 of Level 1, Day 353 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely day, the weather being cooler in the morning but warming up to 22 C this afternoon, and it drizzling now, with two days of rain to come; for taking care of the ‘baby’ Smart of Barbara Lenhard and Flo Gast in my garage; for a snooze; for an energetic walk up to the Camps Bay Primary Symmonds Sport Field above Camps Bay Drive, where I had been alerted to lots of litter and overflowing green bins, my community duty rewarding me 300 Discovery points in walking uphill to get there; for the contribution to my cleaning action from Bronwyn Keene-Young, volunteered by a local resident, becoming a promised monthly support 💙; for seeing George Sax for a short while at Utopia; for a lovely evening at Anatoli Mediterranean Restaurant, going there to take some more food and belly dancing photographs, and bumping into long last seen friend Jürgen Müss of Karoo Biking who came to eat there; for receiving R200 cash back from Discovery Insure for my low distance driving and good driving behavior 💙; and for being happy and healthy. One would not necessarily associate Mediterranean foods with Veganism, but creative Anatoli Chef Jacques du Toit has designed a tasty and aromatic Tasting Menu suiting Vegans and Vegetarians, containing no animal-derived products, and being purely plant-based.

The decision to introduce a Vegan Tasting Menu comes from Anatoli GM and co-owner Russell Zieff, after observing the trend to Veganism, and receiving a number of requests for Vegan-friendly food. Continue reading →
