Kloof Street in Cape Town named one of the Coolest Streets in the World by TImeOut!

 

Kloof Street in Gardens in Cape Town is making a comeback, once known for having the largest number of restaurants in one street in Cape Town, until Bree Street took over the accolade.

Now Kloof Street has been named as one of 33 coolest streets in the world by TimeOut, ranked at number 26.

Thursday 4 February 2021, First Thursday, Day 40 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 316 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a fabulous day that just got better and better, ending off on a high note; for a lovely warm day with little wind, although the mountains were covered in clouds; for a brisk walk to Clifton, earning 300 Discovery points, being less stressed about mask-wearing as there were fewer walkers about; for a longer than planned Skype meeting with a representative of my Canadian Tour Guiding company based in India, talking about the company’s marketing and Social Media, which I will assist them with, and writing Cape Town content too; for my two poppy seed rolls waiting for me at Dinkel Bakery; for being healthy enough to donate blood; for a good status meeting with my client over lunch, I having a healthy delicious Caprese Salad; for a long-overdue session with my podiatrist; for popping in at the WCafé at Woolies in Sea Point for a juice; for being spoilt when I went to see George Sax at the new Kloof Street Hotel; for being thoroughly spoilt by Gary Peterson and Thomas, as well as by the new ëlgr, the restaurant with the most difficult name in Cape Town, meaning ‘moose’; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
