Wednesday 27 May 2020, Day 27 of Level 4, after 35 days of Level 5. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for being able to walk this morning, with a light drizzle and then it stopping at 8h00, giving me an hour to get as far as Glen Beach, earning 300 Vitality points for the Cardio workout despite it being my shortest walk since Level 4 started; for bumping into Haakon and Thomas Bauerkämper, who walked back with me as far as my home; for a story I enjoyed writing today; for KitKat and Minsky lying on my bed together for the first time; for enjoying staying home, it being very chilly today, needing a brandy warm-up with dancing 💃💃💃; for finally receiving my Western Cape & PE Cultural Tourist Guiding and Wine Guiding certificates today; for receiving a Discovery Vitality Gameboard play, and exceeding 1000 points, allowing me to buy another pack of raw nuts at DisChem; and for being healthy and fit 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Tuesday 26 May 2020, Day 26 of Level 4 after 35 days at Level 5 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for having the energy and determination to get out of bed to exercise, walking as far as the start of Clifton from our side, when the few of us venturing out were gifted with a most fabulous rainbow 🌈; for more fabulous service from Bukeka at Absolute Pets, to have an ID disk made for Minsky, as she has never been outside a building before; for treating myself to a Maison J croissant 🥐 for breakfast; for a good working day; for doing a shopping walk, and trading some cold drinks for getting the stream filled with litter cleaned up by some Homeless guys nearby; for having the Pick n Pay staff and managers back, having been in quarantine for a week; for more fabulous rain today, with a bit of a bite from snow in Ceres; for chatting to Linda-Louise Roosenschoon; for dancing to Kfm Dansdag; and for being healthy and happy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Monday 25 May 2020, Day 25 of Level 4 after 35 days at Level 5 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for the glorious rain that has been falling overnight and all day; for having the big garage downstairs in which I could make up my minimum step goal for the day, with a good Cardio pace; for being productive in working all day, not being able to leave home for a shopping walk as one shower after the other came rolling in; for creating a new service on the Restaurant Food Delivery Facebook page, by indicating which restaurants will allow Food Collection, marked with a C, from next week; for the Facebook page having exceeded 4200 members today; for our number one SA restaurant La Colombe joining in on a Delivery service; for dancing to Kfm the rest of my Steps via Couchrobics; and for feeling happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Virus: President Ramaphosa announces step-down to Level 3 from 1 June 2020, opening up of the economy, restaurant meal collection, unrestricted exercise, and sale of Alcohol!

 


In a speech starting punctually at 19h00 this evening, President Ramaphosa announced that the country as a whole will step down to Level 3 from 1 June, with concessions made for unrestricted exercise, allowing the sale of alcohol for home consumption under strict conditions, lifting of the curfew, the collection as well as delivery of Restaurant meals, and the opening up of the economy.
