Tuesday 26 May 2020, Day 26 of Level 4 after 35 days at Level 5 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for having the energy and determination to get out of bed to exercise, walking as far as the start of Clifton from our side, when the few of us venturing out were gifted with a most fabulous rainbow 🌈; for more fabulous service from Bukeka at Absolute Pets, to have an ID disk made for Minsky, as she has never been outside a building before; for treating myself to a Maison J croissant 🥐 for breakfast; for a good working day; for doing a shopping walk, and trading some cold drinks for getting the stream filled with litter cleaned up by some Homeless guys nearby; for having the Pick n Pay staff and managers back, having been in quarantine for a week; for more fabulous rain today, with a bit of a bite from snow in Ceres; for chatting to Linda-Louise Roosenschoon; for dancing to Kfm Dansdag; and for being healthy and happy. 🙏💙
There was a lot of litter in Camps Bay today, in addition to more torn garbage bags on the pavement. Some litter had washed down streets and drains from the rain. So excited that I can do proper litter cleaning from next week again.
Today I wrote a story about StreetSmart and its lack of funds which has been generated by restaurant diners’ contributions in the past, launching a campaign ‘Dine In. Do Good’, requesting home restaurant diners to contribute in a different way.
The rest of the day was spent updating the Restaurant Food Delivery & Collection list, and approving posts.
KitKat and Minsky connected for the first time today. After an active evening, Minsky slept most of the day. KitKat went for his wander and came back sopping wet as a rain shower struck.
From my experience at Pick n Pay and Woolworths in Camps Bay today, I urge you to compare prices at the shelf with your till slip. Both stores over-charged me relative to the shelf price, and didn’t give me the correct refunds. 😱
Early to bed tonight to keep warm and watch a movie. 🍿
My FitBit must be on the blink, giving me heart rates that are unbelievable, as if I exercised the night through in my sleep…. No wonder my FitBit battery runs so low in one day….. 👣😱😳😂
SA Corona Status: 24264 cases 524 deaths 😷😥
FitBit 16000 steps 12 km 👣
Lovemylife❤️
The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, and lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
