Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another beautiful day, at 20C, and the 12C when leaving home for Exercise Time didn’t even feel cold when I started walking; for getting as far as Clifton First Beach, with far less litter to pick up along the way, making 9000 steps and a good Cardio workout, bumping into Mahmud Fredericks on the way; for a peaceful day spent at home; for some Vit D therapy on the terrace; for reaching a total of 502 Continue reading →

Wednesday 20 May 2020, Day 20 of Level 4, after 35 days of Level 5. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for such a lucky day all round, it being the 20th after all ; for the most exceptional weather, at 29 C, summer making a repeat visit before we face winter from tomorrow onwards; for Exercise Time shared with many others today, I luckily taking a different route, up Geneva Drive; for meeting Mahmud Fredericks along the way back home, and walking and chatting up to my apartment; for my apartment terrace furniture rearrangement, after two years, giving me space to put a small round table right up against my plants, on a raised section, sitting in the beautiful sun; for another good Restaurant Food Delivery Facebook Group day, with over 100 new members; for a wonderful accolade from the Camps Bay Community Action Network; for the fabulous news that I have been accepted as the new Foster and future Adoption mom of Minsky by DARG, with the delivery likely to be tomorrow ❤️❤️❤️; for the offer from Mykonos Taverna in Sea Point to deliver a Mezze platter of Greek treats for me to try, to which I invited my Hong Kong neighbour Kyle, my first dinner (still at 20C) by candlelight on the terrace with a dining partner in 7 weeks; for a walk to the shops to buy a litter tray and cat litter, with fabulous service from Absolute Pets and Pick n Pay, a heavy weight to carry back home; and for feeling happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Tuesday 19 May 2020, Day 19 of Level 4, after 35 days at Level 5 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another beautiful day, without any clouds to block the sun, feeling much warmer than the 20C forecast; for a very long sleep last night; for a warm Exercise Time, slightly busier, walking up to Clifton 2nd Beach, my heart exertion not being as good as on the previous days, as I had to keep picking up litter, there was so much of it en route today; for the luck of being gifted two Maison J croissants, it being their first day of selling them again; for the even greater luck of crossing the road from Maison J to almost bump into #eyecandy, then walking back home together, he living just down the road from me 😳🙃; for finally facing the last filing which I’ve been looking at and ignoring… until today, throwing away old notes and notebooks filled with restaurant reviews, and organizing financial files; for loving dancing to Kfm 💃; for the prospect of being able to first foster and than adopt a little girl kitty Minsky after Lockdown ends, if I am approved 🐱, with huge thanks to Michele Antelme for seeing this on a DARG post; for rearranging my terrace, a new beginning of sitting and writing outside; for an excellent weekly report by FitBit, with 126000 steps and 90 km, and a new Lockdown record of an average of 18000 steps and 13 km per day this past week; and for feeling happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another beautiful day, not so warm at only 20C, but sunny; for another excellent Exercise Time this morning, walking up to Clifton 3rd Beach, there being very few Exercisers; for having our domestic garbage removed today, other areas like Sea Point linked to the Woodstock Depot not so lucky, it being closed for the next three days due to Virus infections there; for chatting to Giles Blanc, owner of The 41 restaurant, and then regular coffee drinkers Haakon and Thomas Bauerkämper, exchanging experiences about ordering Camps Bay Restaurant Food delivered to home; for a very relaxed afternoon; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
