Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a very hardworking day, catching up on admin, and doing my daily posting; for surviving two sleep disruptions caused by a group of new clients in our building; for a beautiful day at 20C, and forecast to be even warmer tomorrow; for utilizing Loadshedding this morning to do the non-internet admin catch-up, creating a Social Media posting schedule for June, and for a walk, up my secret Bakoven lanes and then to Woolies and Pick n Pay, the latter only because Woolies didn’t have what I needed; for a pop-in at Utopia, and then at Anatoli Turkish Restaurant, to photograph Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#grateful for a fabulous day, with so many blessings, and flowing efficiently; for a relaxed start to the day, without any pressure to write a Blogpost today, being ahead of myself in writing; for a surprise call from another restaurant asking if I would like to do their marketing too …. you bet ๐Ÿ’™ ; for a request to buy all three my SwitchBitch books ๐Ÿ™; for a walk through Camps Bay with minimal litter to pick up, and very good mask wearing compliance; for a quick walking shoe purchase, my poor Reeboks bought in Havana last year having seen better days; for collecting my laundry; for putting in petrol ahead of a petrol price increase next week; for a head massage, hair trim, and blow spoil at the new salon Hair by Isabella in Sea Point; for popping in at Utopia to meet a VIP client, and then having two sets of friends dining there too, so I stayed and ate there too; for lovely weather today, starting with rain, but clearing this morning; for two Discovery Gameboard plays; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

#Grateful for the arrival of Spring, finally, what a beauty of a day at 21C ๐ŸŒž; for a glorious day; for meeting Johnny Nortje and walking to Camps Bay, dropping off a sample pack of Dilmah Teas at Firefly Cafรฉ, to try out and to use until they get their tea order delivered; for a fabulous lunch with Johnny at Tindlovu Restaurant in the Camps Bay Promenade, meeting up with Chef Chris Papayannes (whom Iโ€™d last seen at the Newton Johnson Restaurant about 6 years ago), and now Group GM of the 10 Tindlovu restaurants around the country; for a drive with Johnny to Blouberg, walking along the Beachfront; for a second Camps Bay walk, walking with Lisa Hayden whom I bumped into when I was actually heading for Bakoven; for the City of Cape Town having spare electricity, which prevented us from being Loadshed at 18h00, coming off scot-free today; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

#Grateful for feeling good today despite a restless nightโ€™s sleep; for a sunny day, warm in the sun at 17C, but clouds on Lions Head conforming rain to fall tonight and tomorrow morning; for the joy Iโ€™ve had in paying tribute to our Women Restaurateurs and Top Chefs in Cape Town and the Winelands, such lovely stories; for a long walk to Second Beach in Clifton, litter being under control; for popping in to seek advice from the Law Enforcement Office about a death threat, advising me to lay a charge at the police; for amazing service from the lady police Constable, getting the guys picked up when they walked through Camps Bay; for a sun Vit D snooze on the terrace; for a walk through Bakoven in the afternoon, more litter here; for a glass of sherry with Lisa Hayden; for picking chives from my Veg garden to have with my scrambled egg supper; for seeing cloud hearts ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™ in the sky; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →
