Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for lovely rain this morning and this afternoon; for the sun having returned; for a good working morning; for a refreshing walk this afternoon, just when it started drizzling, making me walk even faster, and gaining 300 Discovery points; for a good Camps Bay & Clifton Ratepayers Association Zoom meeting; for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for another fabulous day, with a later sleep-in than usual; for a 24 C day, the wind picking up in the afternoon as the rain clouds rolled in; for a lovely day in and out of Utopia, greeting clients who enquired via Social Media before making their bookings, for a fantastic buzz, the fullest that I have seen it since I started working with the restaurant three months ago, and with hordes of celebrations; for slipping out in between to put in petrol before the steep price increase on Tuesday; for dropping off my bedlinen at the laundry; for a lovely walk in Mouille Point at its Promenade, lovely so close to the ocean, catching its spray at times; for dancing while driving home in happiness; for a lovely sunset; for lovely dance music on Kfm and its Blokparty ; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Wednesday 4 November 2020, Day 45 of level 1, Day 223 of Lockdown ๐Ÿ˜ท

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a beautiful day, at about 23C, still good before a weekend of rain awaits us ๐Ÿ˜ฑ; for two Discovery Gameboard plays, probably my last double play as I am receiving no points, seeming to have reached my exercise points limits; for a morning of writing; for a Camps Bay walk, stopping at okja (ex Maison J) to take photographs – the staff seem sad that everything has changed so; for a Vit D boost on the terrace; for a walk through Bakoven; for the City of Cape Town Parks staff coming to mow the grass alongside the Bali Bay fence, after many weeks of begging, sadly now seeing all the litter that was hidden beneath it; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Monday 26 October 2020, Day 36 of Level 1, Day 214 of Lockdown ๐Ÿ˜ท

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a sunny 23C after such a cloudy grey weekend, feeling far more energized, and still warm enough for the terrace doors to be open; for a good writing morning; for a strenuous walk, taking a completely different route for a change, halfway up Camps Bay Drive and then through Bakoven, photographing pretty flowers on the way, and rewarded with 300 Discovery points; for being able to offer some legal advice to a friend in need; for a peaceful day; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →
