Wednesday 4 November 2020, Day 45 of level 1, Day 223 of Lockdown 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful day, at about 23C, still good before a weekend of rain awaits us 😱; for two Discovery Gameboard plays, probably my last double play as I am receiving no points, seeming to have reached my exercise points limits; for a morning of writing; for a Camps Bay walk, stopping at okja (ex Maison J) to take photographs – the staff seem sad that everything has changed so; for a Vit D boost on the terrace; for a walk through Bakoven; for the City of Cape Town Parks staff coming to mow the grass alongside the Bali Bay fence, after many weeks of begging, sadly now seeing all the litter that was hidden beneath it; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

My Blogpost today was about the closure of Maison J and the opening of plant-based only okja. They still sell bagels, from Kleinsky’s, the fillings being Vegan only. The staff are so kind to me, worried I won’t be buying anything there anymore, so they gave me a breakfast bun to take home to try m, surprisingly lovely, with an orange taste.

Maison J closes down, as plant-based okja opens in Camps Bay!

Some of you may be confused about my different job titles 😱. I was updating my Facebook profile to include the new Communications consultancy client, and forgot that it shows everyone. It was an opportunity that came my way, and I can combine it with my Tourist Guiding when we have international visitors in Cape Town again. 😊 It is amazing how I have come full circle, having once owned a PR company for Food clients. 😊❤️

I have a feeling of irritation, a sort of Full Moon feeling, but that should be over and done with. Perhaps part of it is the uncertainty about the USA 🇺🇸 election, despite the outcome having no impact on me personally. 😱🇺🇸

So delighted to be spoilt with a new series of Hope @ Home concerts, performed in the Berlin home of violinist Daniel Hope, given the second Lockdown which started in Germany on Monday. 🙏

SA Corona Status 730548 cases 19685 deaths 😷😥

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
