Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 85 of Level 1, 24 December 2021

Friday 24 December 2021, Day 85 of Level 1, Christmas Eve 🎄😷

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for no enhanced Lockdown restrictions over the Festive days 🙏; for the excellent news that the USA is dropping its travel ban from 31 December, and that Belgium too has reduced its restrictions relative to the southern African countries; for getting up early to finish most of my work by lunchtime; for a Bakoven walk; for taking Henry for Christmas Lunch at Zest, his first visit there, my Christmas Feast for today, and lucky to be served by the bubbly Josie Milner 🌹 ; for the efficient management of the massive shopping queue at the Sea Point Spar when I needed a glue stick; for delivering my Christmas gifts; for a snooze, feeling a little dizzy after such a busy week; for meeting Gift, to pay him and to receive feedback from him about the Litter Status; for a sunset Camps Bay walk, refreshed by the wind picking up; for a Christmas call from Hans-Werner Klein;  for lovely efficient service by Sharief of the City of Cape Town, to change my postal address for my Rates & Taxes invoices to the apartment block; for one of my clients paying me immediately today, only issuing my invoices today ❤️; and for being at home with my Kit Kats 😻😻, happy, healthy and free, listening to the most un-Christmassy Disco music 🙏💙😱

The Sweet Award went to the Vlaeberg Post Office; the Sour Award went to the Post Office in the Waterfront.

Sweet Service Award goes to Vlaeberg Post Office; Sour Service Award goes to Waterfront Post Office!

A huge THANK YOU to all the restaurant staff working tonight and tomorrow, to allow others to celebrate 👏👏👏👏👏👏

I am also grateful for the changed profile of renters staying in our Ebbtide building, the Nigerians having departed, allowing all of us to have most wonderful nights of sleep. ❤️❤️❤️

Wishing all my Facebook friends and family a safe and Merry Christmas 🎄⭐️🎄⭐️🎄⭐️🎄⭐️🎄⭐️🎄⭐️🎄

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July,  returned to Level 3 on 26 July, returned to Level 2 on 13 September, and returned to Level 1 on 1 October is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
