Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a lovely day, starting off cool, warming up, and ending cold and windy as the rain clouds roll in; for a good preparation for my Status meetings this morning; for a walk to Woolies, to buy winter soup ingredients, popping in at the Theatre on the Bay on the way, so happy for our Camps Bay icon that it has opened its first show since Lockdown, and for William the best Computicket staff member in the world still being there 👏👏👏👏; for my Dinkel rolls waiting for me; after a dreadful drive from Camps Bay, taking 45 minutes due to the resurfacing of Kloofnek Road, all traffic condensed into one lane in each direction; for my Utopia and Anatoli client indulging my slight lateness as a result; for a good meeting, with a lovely lunch buzz, and for the excitement of a sneak preview of the Utopia Christmas and New Year’s Eve menus; for a refreshing Bakoven walk, with the sun setting into rain clouds; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙

Today’s Blogpost was about notorious and dishonest Chef Conrad Gallagher, who opened Bistro Vin de Boeuf in St Francis Bay earlier this week. 😱

Notorious Chef Conrad Gallagher opens new restaurant in St Francis Bay, after leaving trail of debt in SA, USA and Ireland!

The Full Moon appears to be getting to a number of people, being snappy, irritable, and triggered, including I today, when I lost it with a parking attendant. 😱

Sad to hear that the Victoria Junction hotel in Green Point went into liquidation today.

The search for Brian Laundrie in Florida took a turn today. Is anyone else following this?

PS Brian Laundrie confirmed dead, according to dental records.   What a sad story #GabbiPetito.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July,  returned to Level 3 on 26 July, returned to Level 2 on 13 September, and returned to Level 1 on 1 October is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
