Wednesday 10 November 2021, Day 41 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a smooth flowing working morning, preparing for two Status meetings; for gaining 2 Discovery Gameboard plays, and 370 Miles, as well as a Woolies R100 voucher; for a successful call to Discovery to assist me in getting the Woolies voucher number as I’d forgotten to add it to my wallet, and for correcting an error when Discovery charged me 900 Miles for the voucher and not 750, as they have done for the past year; for a mini Pedi at Sorbet in The Point Mall, and seeing the new massive Clicks  next door; for a quick lunch stop at Chef Chen’s Sushi Bar, having tempura calamari;  for very good Status meetings with newkings boutique hotel and Zest Restaurant; for a shop and returning an item at Woolies St John’s Piazza; for getting home to only a few minutes of Loadshedding still to go; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙

My Blogpost today was about our Lunch last week at Homespun at The Andros in Claremont.

Restaurant Review: Homespun by Matt at The Andros – Excellent Food but its story not told!

It was horrid sitting in a shared space at Sorbet with another person having a Pedi done, she taking one business call after the other, full blast loud. When I asked her to consider the rest of us, she lost it, shouting at me and saying that I was too old to be at Sorbet, whatever that may mean! Wow, ageist discrimination. 😡

Pathetic service at Clicks, standing at a counter for cash payments but none of the tills being able to be opened to give me change. A manager had to be called over the intercom, and she couldn’t get it fixed either! I was so irate that I returned my shopping items and asked for my money back. I won’t be going back there! 😡

A very healthy supper tonight, fresh from the garden.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July,  returned to Level 3 on 26 July, returned to Level 2 on 13 September, and returned to Level 1 on 1 October is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
