Corona Gratitude šŸ™

#Grateful for a beautiful day, at 28C, no wind, helping the firefighters to waterbomb the last bits of the fire this morning; for the firefighters who did such a fantastic job in looking after Cape Town in the past two days ā¤ļø; for a long working and writing day, accomplishing my goals; for a long refreshing power walk, not thinking initially that I would have so much energy, gaining 300 Discovery points; for a lovely sunset treat in Bakoven on my way back; and for being happy, healthy, and free. šŸ™šŸ’™

My Blogpost today was about the ā€˜Anatoli Authentic Turkish Cuisineā€™ cookbook, written by the previous owner Tayfun Aras, which weā€™ll be giving away with a meal in a promotion later this week.

Anatoli Cookbook dishes up Turkish cuisine recipes and history of Anatoli Mediterranean Restaurant!

On my walk I saw smoke coming from the top end of Bakoven, where the other fires have been in the past few weeks! šŸ”„ Luckily no wind, and the fire engines were on the scene quickly.

On my walk I was aggressively begged for money in one of my secret lanes. Then he popped up on Bakoven Beach, just walking onto the terrace of an older resident who lives in a Ā Beach bungalow. I had to shout at him to leave. My first such experience šŸ˜”. I contacted Camps Bay CSI, but they couldnā€™t find him. He was carrying a black Woolies shopping bag and an unused mop šŸ˜±

I am finally taking on THAT Paul Jacobson from that dreadful Sea Point group, getting his bearings wrong when he gleefully reported about the Bakoven fire. I called him out about his lack of geography sense, and now the bully in him has come to the fore, with an insinuation that Iā€™m not from from Cape Town, therefore not knowing what Iā€™m talking about. Iā€™ve only lived in Camps Bay for 30 years. šŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜” What a horrid man.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, Ā extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
