Wednesday 6 May 2020, Day 6 of Level 4 Lockdown, after 35 days at Level 5 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for the amazing weather we are blessed with, quite untypical for winter, keeping our spirits buoyant; for another good Exercise Time, once again warm enough to wear shorts and a short sleeve top; for a shopping walk this afternoon, and kind service at Pick n Pay and its Manager; for the lovely feedback about the Restaurant Food Delivery Group, making a small difference to our industry, getting close to 300 restaurants and soon we’ll be at 2500 members; for being able to work all day, yet get my dancing 💃 on Kfm going and exceeding my step goal; for getting a Discovery Gameboard play and a good point win; for a long chat to Jenny Stephens; for a chat with Darren Combrink, helping me with some technical issues in the Food Delivery Group Facebook Page; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
This morning Vida e Caffe and Maison J (7h00 – 12h00) in Camps Bay reopened again, for take-away coffee, no food, collect and go. I was disappointed that there are no croissants at Maison J, but this is not allowed at Level 4. The benches at Vida attracted cyclists to sit down. More and more litter to pick up as the Homeless return.
My Blogpost today was about how I’m keeping fit during Lockdown, and how I exceed the American Heart Association recommendation of a minimum of 10000 steps. ❤️
Keeping fit whilst being confined to home during the Corona Virus Lockdown!
I met the next door neighbour who moved in on Friday. He was busy cleaning the pool and I was sitting on my pool steps. Kyle is from Hong Kong, but with SA connections. He is trying to return to the city, but needs to get to Joburg to catch a flight. This morning I had spoken to Captain Chandler of the Camps Bay police station, asking him to check the legality of a new person moving into our building, before I met Kyle. He is living alone.
What weird news and much speculation about a Mini being set alight overnight, despite the Curfew, belonging to a Mouille Point resident who was feeding homeless persons against the orders of the police. 😱 And hearing about the first law firms retrenching staff already. 😢
SA Corona Status: 7808 cases 153 deaths

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, and lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
