Thursday 2 December 2021, Day 63 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a rainy start to the day, unexpected as it was not forecast, with a second shower mid-morning; for a busy morning, preparing for a client Status meeting; for a Bakoven walk; for electrician Rod coming for the sixth time to fix a Day/Night light not working 😱; for fetching my post at the Vlaeberg Post Office on Loop Street, all Waterfront box holders having to fetch their post here now, due to the Waterfront Post Office having closed and renovations taking place there, it taking 15 minutes to receive my post over the counter; for a relaxed Utopia and Anatoli Status meeting, laughing with my client, photographing a birthday lady having lunch there; for Utopia being fully booked for dinner until 13 December 👏; for succumbing to a Hartlief and Woolies shopping trip in the Garden’s Centre; for a tomato and cucumber shop at Fideli’s; for a slice of Appeltaart, cream and Jammie and the most wonderful chat with Labotessa Hotel owner Johan du Plessis, such a wonderful generous person, so lucky that I met him a few months ago, and discovered his hotel and Café 🌹❤️; for the Kit Kats being happy to see me back at home; and for being happy, healthy and free.

My Blogpost today was about the new The Pottery Café, owned by Camps Bay locals and offering locals a small food and beverage menu, and Wonki Ware pottery too.

The Pottery opens in Camps Bay, owned by locals; pottery, food and cocktails for Locals!

It is terrible to hear what amounts of bookings were wiped out as a result of the dreadful Black Friday Travel Bans, and the refunds which have to be paid.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July,  returned to Level 3 on 26 July, returned to Level 2 on 13 September, and returned to Level 1 on 1 October is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
