Monday 20 December 2021, Day 81 of Level 1, My Birthday 🎉

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a fabulous birthday, literally overwhelmed by the volume of messages on Whats App and in Groups, on Facebook and calls, not having got to see them all yet, starting from 6h00 ❤️❤️❤️; for getting some work done this morning; for the most amazing Birthday gift from the Camps Bay community today (see below); for seeing Barbara Lenhard and Flo Gast, who flew in from Germany this morning, not having seen them for 8 months, their Smart having stood in my garage, catching up quickly on our news and nibbling left over Christmas biscuits; for Hennie Kriel sending his colleague Sharief to reconnect the Smart battery and fix one of the flat tyres one two three 💙 ; for driving former Peppertree Chef Dominique to Zest, for a job interview; for wonderful Zest birthday wishes, not thinking that they would know about it, Chef Pavel instructing me to sit on the terrace and eat and drink what I want , and spend the afternoon with them, what an invitation, newkings GM Martine Wood spending some time with me ❤️❤️❤️; for catching up on work, feeling guilty about not having done any posting on behalf of my clients; for a sunset Camps Bay walk and litter clean up at the Tidal Pool; and for sitting in the dark now with most of the Atlantic Seaboard and City, due to an electrical fault, meaning that I cannot work, and can now open my gifts by candlelight; for a call from my Alex this morning ❤️; for our garage door still working perfectly after playing up in Saturday; and for being happy, healthy, free, and loved 🙏💙

I did not get to write a Blogpost today.

How fabulous was this Birthday gift today? : I created a Whats App Group for Beach Cleans, and posted the introduction to our new cleaner Gift this morning. June Temple (we have never met) was full of energy, and immediately offered to gift him biscuits and a shirt, and encouraged others to contribute too. I suggested little juices and energy bars, to keep him going. Jo Pentz and another resident offered to make donations, which can extend the number of cleaning days on which he can work. How amazing is this? 🌹❤️

My Zest lunch was three oysters and a glass of bubbly to start, followed by a half portion of a Seafood Combo: salmon, calamari and prawns. Delicious. #thankyou Chef Pavel.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July,  returned to Level 3 on 26 July, returned to Level 2 on 13 September, and returned to Level 1 on 1 October is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
