Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a lovely day, at 19C, sunny and warm; for a busy admin and writing morning; for two Discovery Gameboard plays; for a walk on my secret Bakoven path, sadly with bad litter; for a fabulous afternoon, dropping off the Tourist Guiding certificate of Martin Koch at the home of his brother Simon Koch, visiting Cape Diem Lodge in Green Point, for a constructive Anatoli status meeting, always with Dilmah tea and lovely chocolate biscuits, and for Rose Klein and Werner Klein coming to try the pre-Dinner Aperitif at Anatoli, a lovely three hour chat; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙

Cape Diem is a 5-star lodge in Green Point, with mainly Weylandt furniture, a fabulous showcase of the store’s furniture. I went to have tea with owner Daniel Balbach for one of my clients, about a collaboration. The amazing thing is that they have a ‘Covid cat’ too, a ginger male who walked into their life last year. He hasn’t left. He looks as if he could be a twin brother of Minsky. 😻

There was lots to photograph at Anatoli today, a new sardine mezze, interior shots, and the pre-Dinner Aperitif. Rose, Werner, and I had a lot of catching up to do. The pre-dinner Aperitif costs R75 for a glass of wine, 4 mini Mezzes, and half a flatbread.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
