Wednesday 24 June 2020, Day 24 of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 4 and 5 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another fabulous day, ahead of five winter days from tomorrow; for a good morning of writing; for a walk to Clifton Fourth Beach, with minimal litter to pick up; for chatting to David Raad, owner of Caprice about restaurants’ frustrations of not knowing the reopening date nor regulations, the topic of my Blogpost today, and he telling me that a coffee brand restaurant group has opened its doors to sit-down already, ignoring all regulations; for getting myself immersed in the Sectional Titles Act and the Body Corporate AGM, receiving some very good advice; for some dancing to exceed my step goal, in addition to a walk to the Tidal Pool for some sunset pics; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Tuesday 23 June 2020, Day 23 of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 4 and 5. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful sunny day, feeling warmer than the 17C weather forecast of my Weather App; for two lovely walks through Bakoven and a Camps Bay one; for seeing Reinard Gerber, GM of the Bay Hotel, whom I didn’t recognize with his mask on after not seeing him in three months, at Sunset Sessions, which they are reopening in the next few days; for bumping into local Rick Jackson, having just returned from his holiday, and into Howard, who I see almost daily on our walks in opposite directions in the main; for finally hearing from the Western Cape Provincial Department of Economic Affairs and Tourism, three weeks after I emailed a lady working there all the papers we were told to send to her, so that we can receive our Tourist Guiding Badge and card…. it’s getting closer to the end now 💙; for getting a Sorbet appointment on day 1 of reopening today….; for Minsky being a good lady today; and for feeling fit and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for another fabulous day, so misty this morning that it looked as if it would rain, but it cleared this afternoon; for a good challenging Blogpost written today, which just flowed; for getting more Body Corporate AGM work done; for a good walk to 4th Beach in Clifton, with minimal litter 🙏 ; for a quick small shop at Pick n Pay; for getting a waxing appointment at Sorbet when they open tomorrow 👏👏👏; for Minsky climbing her first tree, and getting down it again, a challenge initially 🐱; for being calm and peaceful; for fabulous sunsets tonight; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Saturday 20 June 2020, Day 20 of Level 3, after 66 days at Levels 4 and 5. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for the little bit of rain we had early this morning, with more to come overnight and all of tomorrow; for having my helper Joel to assist me in cleaning up Camps Bay every second week; for Maison J keeping croissants for me until the end of my walk, and spoiling me with a bonus; for a very relaxed day, allowing myself a two hour sleep 😴 ; for my new FitBit Charge 4 working perfectly, being able to get my sleep time and heart beat readings again, the battery still almost fully charged, and reading at least 1000 steps more than Apple Health; for a visit by Thabied Harris to drop off a treat of Brewz Krew coffee and Bee Wild honey with a catch up chat; for a catch-up call from Shaun Terry; for listening to Hope @ Home on Tour, performing in the Richard Strauss Haus in Garmisch-Patenkirchen, the American Solist Thomas Hampson describing these incredible concerts as an ‘oasis of humanity’ 👏👏👏, so proud of organizer and violinist Daniel Hope, with his SA roots and now living in Berlin; for another concert coming up, L’Chaim, which includes Goldfish, how lucky are we….. ?; for my fourth week with Madame Minsky 🐱❤️; and for being healthy and happy 🙏💙 Continue reading →
