Sweet Service Award goes to Somerset Hospital; Sour Service Award goes to Pick n Pay ASAP!

 

The Sweet Service Award goes to Somerset Hospital, and its vaccination team, for its efficient and relatively quick second vaccination service a week ago, taking an hour this time, for the roughly ten persons in the queue. The chairs we sat on in the queue were wiped and sanitised each time we moved forward.  I received a notification to go to the CTICC, but because Somerset Hospital was so efficient for the first vaccination, I went back there instead. #grateful for a good working day, loving the adrenaline and buzz of spending the whole afternoon at Zest Restaurant and newkings boutique hotel, Zest reopenimg tomorrow, and serving Breakfast for the first time, open to hotel guests as well as locals, from 7h00 – 11h00; for a lovely team spirit at Zest, after 4 weeks of not seeing each other, I feeling part of the family, thanks to the amazing kind owner Chef Pavel; for bumping into Jayme at Zest, the best buddy of #BananaBoy, the second time we’ve seen each other by coincidence in a month 🍌; for kind Charlene Shapiro of CNC Products, dropping off an order for me at Zest, so we had coffee/tea and a chat first; for finding new Continue reading →

100 million Pfizer vaccines to be produced annually for 55 African countries in Cape Town from 2022!

 

The Western Cape Government and President Ramaphosa have welcomed the announcement by the local Biovac Institute that it is to commence manufacturing the Pfizer-BioNTECH Covid-19 vaccine in Cape Town from next year, for distribution to 55 countries on the African continent, a boost to the economy of the Cape.

Biovac is expected to manufacture 100 million vaccine doses annually.

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for another peaceful and relaxed day; for surviving another noise disturbance in the early hours of this morning, getting about 6 hours of sleep in total; for an admin morning, planning my week ahead, and writing some Blogposts; for a Woolies walk; for savouring the sun when it came out this afternoon; for a loooong chat with Michele Antelme, like we used to have in the early Lockdown days last year, such a treat; for a late afternoon sunset Bakoven walk, a few drops of rain falling; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
